Broadening the Base, 2007

 

“Broadening the Base,” explores the values that drive giving to the arts. By taking a wide-swath approach and gathering data about an individuals’ full donation portfolio, this study provides comparison data between all nonprofit sectors, and paints a holistic and robust portrait of Americans' giving habits, and the role of the arts in their lives.

In collaboration with two innovative early adopters, MMA has been using this research to develop “Culture-Base."  Initial pilot projects are currently underway.
