MMA helps organizations to think expansively about their missions, identify possible areas for enrichment or growth, nail down the “next steps” and “milestones” that can help them achieve the goals, and set up tracking mechanisms to ensure continued success.

For some organizations, this can be a long, intensive process, beginning with a board retreat and culminating in an extensive formal document with “pull out” sections for individual departments and summaries for funders and other stakeholders. For other organizations, the process can be relatively simple, involving a few visioning sessions and resulting in an outline-type document with timelines and general guidelines.
